Spiritually-Focused Start to the School Year

Spiritually-Focused Start to the School Year

As student leaders, freshmen, and returning students arrived on campus during the month of August, staff, faculty, and administration celebrated the continued goodness and faithfulness of God to the University of Valley Forge (UVF) by gathering to worship and seek the Lord for the new school year.

August 16th-18th, student leaders attended a retreat hosted at the Conference Center at Valley Forge where they were poured into by leadership, spent time in prayer and worship, and built each other up as they prepared to serve their fellow students in various capacities this year.

When freshmen arrived on campus on August 22nd, they were greeted by the staff and students who have been praying for them this whole summer, and were able to gather together for a time of worship, dedication, and a message from President Kim. Sunday, August 25th began with the tradition of having beloved professor Dr. David Dippold preaching a welcome message and introducing freshmen to chapel services.

As a community, the university looks forward to chapel services, worship and prayer nights, and times to gather as the body of Christ and seek God’s will for the university as a whole as this year progresses.
