The Intercultural Studies Department invites applications for a full-time faculty role in the area of Intercultural Studies to commence in Fall 2022. General responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, recruitment, mentoring and advising students, alumni engagement, development, and other projects. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, including education and experience.
Earned master’s degree in Intercultural Studies, Ministry Leadership, Pastoral Leadership, Theology, or a related field is preferred. A Ph.D. or D.Min. is preferred. Higher education teaching experience, as well as practical experience, is preferred. Applicants should possess knowledge of biblical theology, missions, intercultural relations, and pastoral leadership. Knowledge of the Deaf Community and American Sign Language is an asset. Must be supportive of the ethos and doctrine of the Assemblies of God.
The Intercultural Studies department enrolls approximately 25 undergraduate students offering programs in Business, Deaf Culture Studies, World Missions, Education, and Children’s Studies. These degree programs are offered to students who have a heart to serve, a thirst for biblical knowledge, and a passion to share the Gospel. This department allows the study of a cross-cultural area of interest in a highly relational world. Students learn how to understand and communicate through cultural differences and be a servant of God wherever they may go.
