22 Mar The University of Valley Forge Announces “UVF Worship”
After over 30 years of ministry in music and worship throughout the United States and abroad, the University of Valley Forge (UVF) has retired the current names of the touring worship teams, Chosen and Pneuma. The mission of Chosen and Pneuma has been to use the individual and collective gifts that God has given us to minister the Gospel through music and service and thereby promote the University of Valley Forge.
While the names are being retired, the music ministry and mission continues in an expanded way. UVF’s itinerant worship ministry will now be known as UVF Worship and will continue to serve our constituents with two teams under one name.
One of the exciting projects that we have been working on are songs written, recorded, and produced by our students. These songs are unique to UVF’s pillars of spiritual formation – His Gospel, His Presence, His Ways, and His Mission – and were written to help the UVF community meditate upon and sing about them. We are planning a release of two songs during the Spring 2020 semester, His Ways and His Presence. We have already begun singing these songs in our Chapel services and look forward to sharing them with the rest of the world soon. Along with the release of the music, we will soon be providing the sheet music and music stems to help youth groups and churches that would like to use these songs as a part of their worship repertoire.
