19 Mar University of Valley Forge Accreditation is Reaffirmed
The University of Valley Forge (UVF) is celebrating our reaffirmation of accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)! On March 5, 2020, the Commission found UVF in compliance with all seven Standards and 15 Requirements of Affiliation, and reaffirmed our accreditation.
Regional accreditation is a significant achievement for higher education institutions. It is an important benefit to our students because most institutions have transfer of credit policies that look for credits that come from a regionally-accredited school. In addition, admission to institutions for advanced degrees, and some private and state licensures require a degree from a regionally-accredited institution. UVF was first accredited with MSCHE in 2002.
The process of reaffirmation of accreditation includes an exhaustive self-study and peer review that examines every aspect of the organization, including Mission and Goals; Design and Delivery of the Student Learning Experience; Educational Effectiveness Assessment; Planning, Resources, and Institutional Improvement; and Governance, Leadership, and Administration. This self-study process has historically taken place once every ten years, and will be an eight-year cycle moving forward. UVF’s next full reaccreditation review is scheduled for 2025-2026.
UVF would like to thank God for His faithfulness, as well as everyone who worked so hard to conduct the self-study, write reports for Middle States, and collaborate to build a culture of continuous improvement. “Teamwork is our Spirit,” and this has truly been a team effort. We are grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness and continued provision for UVF. To God be the glory!
