UVF Alumni are Elected to Superintendent Positions

On May 8, 2018, the three Assemblies of God (AG) networks of PennDel, Potomac, and New Jersey elected respected leaders to the position of superintendent – all of whom are alumni of the University of Valley Forge (UVF) from both our undergraduate or graduate degree programs.

Reverend Don Immel ’82 was elected to the office of superintendent of the PennDel Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, succeeding Dr. Stephen Tourville ’73. Immel is a graduate of UVF (formerly Valley Forge Christian College) where he met his wife, Robin ’82, and of Ashland Theological Seminary, with a concentration in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Emerge Ministries, in Akron, Ohio. He has been in full time ministry since 1982, having served as a youth pastor, pastoral counselor, and lead pastor in Uniontown, PA for 18 years and New Stanton, PA for 6 years. Additionally, Immel served the Penn-Del District as a presbyter from 1997-2013, until his election as Secretary-Treasurer, which he served for 5 years. He and his wife have three adult children: Benjamin, Rebecca, and Donnie. Congratulations, Reverend Immel!

Reverend Frank Potter ’17, M.A. was elected to the office of superintendent of the Potomac Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, succeeding Rev. Ken Burtram. Potter served as the lead pastor of New Life Assembly in Farmville, VA for 20 years and has served as Secretary-Treasurer for the Potomac Ministry Network since 2012. Potter obtained his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from UVF in 2017. As an entrepreneurial leader, Potter’s desire is to raise up the next generation of leaders to approach ministry and leadership creatively. He and his wife Lisa have two grown children, Lindsay and Andrew. Congratulations, Reverend Potter!

Dr. Thomas Keinath ’81 was elected to the office of superintendent of the New Jersey District of the Assemblies of God, succeeding Reverend Carl Colletti. Keinath also obtained his undergraduate degree at UVF where he met his wife, Kim ’05, who currently serves as UVF’s alumni association president. He has been in full-time ministry since 1981, serving as an associate pastor of Faith AG in Hazleton, PA; teacher and choir director with the Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, PA; professor at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO; lead pastor of New Life AG in Lancaster, PA; and currently of Calvary Temple International AG in Wayne, NJ – a multilingual and multisite network of churches. During his ministry, Keinath has also preached the Gospel and held ministry conferences in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, and has had numerous radio and television ministry opportunities. He and his wife have been blessed with three adult daughters, all graduates of UVF – Tiffany, Ashley, and Melody – and three grandchildren. Congratulations, Dr. Keinath!
