The University of Valley Forge is excited to offer accelerated 4+1 bachelor’s plus master’s degree programs for qualifying degree combinations. A 4+1 program offers students the option to earn both a bachelor’s AND a master’s degree in only five years (4+1) instead of the six or more years it usually takes someone to earn both degrees the traditional way. Completing two degrees in 5 years will save students both time and money in their pursuit of higher education and their marketability for their desired careers.
The 4+1 program is for UVF students interested in pursuing both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 5 years. The list of qualifying 4+1 degree and major combinations is listed below.
For UVF students interested in pursuing the 4+1 program, students in their junior year must apply to do so prior to earning 90 credits in their undergraduate program, with the exception of Education students, who must apply in their sophomore year prior to earning 60 credits.
Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are encouraged to apply. Once a student is accepted to the 4+1 program, he or she is able to start taking graduate-level classes senior year, with the exception of Education students, who can begin taking graduate-level classes junior year.
