Bachelor of Social Work

The Bachelor of Social Work in the Behavioral Sciences Department is designed to prepare students for a life of leadership and service in the church and world, as generalist practitioners who incorporate faith and a Christian worldview with their commitment to professional social work service. This degree is useful for students who have a heart for helping people and desire to effect positive change in the world around them.

The UVF Social Work program is nationally recognized by the Council on Social Work Education and has been accredited by CSWE since 2012. This national accreditation enables graduates of the UVF Social Work program to be eligible for advanced-standing in CSWE accredited Master’s level social work program thereby eliminating one year of a two year Master’s program.
