UVF utilizes a multi-faceted approach in our admissions process which allows UVF and prospective students to jointly assess whether the university offers the ideal environment for personal growth and academic success.

Graduate Admissions Process

Step 1: Submit Your Application

An Admissions Counselor will be there to support you through the entire process!

Things to Do: Apply Online

Please provide the following materials electronically:

  • Within the application, you will be required to submit the contact information for one letter of recommendation*
  • Official College Transcript – cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • We do not require the GRE
 
Additional Items by Program:
  • Master of Education degrees and English as a Second Language Certification:
    • Resume
    • Statement of Purpose (approximately 500 words, please see prompt in the application)
    • *Two letters of recommendation are required
  • Master of Music in Music Technology:
    • Statement of Purpose (approximately 500 words, please see prompt in the application)
    • Audition with a designated member of the Music Technology program
    • Music Entrance Exams

Step 2: File Your FAFSA

Things to Do: Submit a FAFSA and your Financial Aid Info

 Students should apply for financial aid as soon as possible.

To ensure availability of financial aid at registration, all aid information including loan applications and any necessary corrections must be completed as early as possible.

Step 3: Enrollment Deposit

Accepted UVF students must submit a non-refundable but credited $50 enrollment deposit to secure their intent to enroll.

Deposits may be submitted by signing into your application, over the phone with your admissions counselor, or mailed to:
