Full-Time Faculty – Education Department
The Education Department invites applications for a full-time faculty position which includes teaching and administrative responsibilities. On site classroom teaching in math and general education methods at the undergraduate level required. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, including education and experience. This is a five day a week, on-site position. Teaching graduate-level coursework, offered in online format, may be required as well.
Essential Responsibilities
• Teach courses as scheduled
• Supervise department faculty, lead department assessment initiatives, etc.
• Liaise with Department of Education on public-school certification issues
• Engage in student recruitment, retention, and program development
• Serve in faculty committees and other roles as assigned
• Advise, disciple, and mentor students
• Perform tasks related to assessment of student learning
• Be a spiritual model through a Christian lifestyle
Qualifications
• Master of Education required; doctorate preferred
• At least two years’ experience teaching math and general methods grades K – 8 required
• Higher education teaching experience required
• Strong commitment to Christian faith and practice in conjunction with the teachings of the Assemblies of God required
Potential Courses
- Math and other general methods courses for elementary/middle level.
The Department
The Education Department offers bachelor’s degrees in Education leading to PA certifications in Early Childhood PK-4, Middle Level 4-8, Special Education PK-12 (dual certification), and Secondary English 7-12.
