This semester, our pillar of focus is His Gospel. What better way to show that in action than missions? We hosted our annual Missions Convention on September 11-14, welcoming over 20 missionaries to campus for the week!
On Tuesday, September 12, chapel began with a flag processional, with students carrying flags to represent over 50 countries. Then, Missionary Lexi Bishop spoke about perseverance in Christ and being obedient where God has placed us. Following chapel, each missionary shared their story and connected with students at their booths in Heritage Hallway. They also visited various classes, speaking on their experiences. That evening, they fellowshipped with students in the dining commons, with a silent dinner option for those who know American Sign Language! Following dinner was a prayer and worship night full of praise and powerful moving of the Spirit. Finishing the night off strong, the missionaries joined students in their residence halls for an ice cream social.
Thursday’s service included a missions offering and commitment cards for students to fill out as a profession to support a missionary, go on a missions trip, or pray for the nations. Summer and spring 2024 will be full of missions trips for students to experience. To find out more information and to give, click here!
