Virtual Open Houses Reach Students Around the World

Although many events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, the University of Valley Forge (UVF) has sought to make the most of the situation by hosting virtual Open House events via Zoom. Students and parents from all over the world have been able to attend and connect with Admissions counselors and have the chance to ask questions and get a glimpse of what life is like at UVF. Some of the attendees’ home states and countries include Alaska, Florida, North Carolina, Colombia, India, Kenya, and others! Many of these students may not have been able to visit UVF’s campus in the first place due to distance or schedule conflicts, because of the accessibility of these virtual Open House events.

Vic Davi, assistant director of Admissions, said “these past few Open Houses at UVF have been so amazing! Despite the challenging times we live in, we were still able to connect with students from all over to help them learn more about what their future could look like here [at UVF]. Our virtual tour was a huge success as well! I’m truly thankful that we live in an age where students can basically get the full college tour experience right from their own home. Looking forward to more Open Houses in the future where we can connect with more students!”

Another exciting facet of these virtual events has been the ability to host more Open Houses than would have been possible to host in person on campus. We are thankful for the hard work of UVF’s Admissions, Financial Services, Student Life teams and others for making these events possible. What a blessing in disguise to be able to reach students from around the nation and around the globe through virtual Open House events!
