The University of Valley Forge invites applicants for the position of Graphic Designer.

Job Description

  • The Marketing Department seeks a Graphic Designer who will manage design projects and create digital and print assets for distribution through multiple internal and external channels including web, social media, print, signage, and digital advertising. This is a full-time, benefited position reporting to the Marketing Coordinator.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Commitment to and alignment with the University’s mission and values.
  • Produce creative assets for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to reach group goals.
  • Manage multi-faceted, long-term projects.
  • Assist with on-campus events that may involve the Marketing Department.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet with the Marketing Coordinator and attend Marketing team meetings.
  • Collaborate with various departments for projects.
  • Attend staff training events.
  • Be available to serve in or assist with institutional events and/or other UVF departments on occasion as requested.
  • Keep up to date on higher education design trends from a marketing perspective.

Work Environment

  • The work environment consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office. Most of the job on campus is performed while sitting. Physical activity can include carrying various medium weight pieces of equipment (cameras and tripods) around campus.

Qualifications & Abilities

  • Creative, motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to research and incorporate trends while maintaining integrity of UVF brand.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Able to supervise interns and student workers to develop their skills.
  • Strong oral & written communication.
  • Sensitive to working with confidential information.
  • Ability to write copy for advertisements, short articles, email blasts, and website.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Graphic Designer – Advanced in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Design.
  • Project Management
    • Manage multiple projects.
    • Contribute to project planning.
  • Motion Graphics – Experience in After Effects.
    • Video Titling
    • Animating PSD & Al files for various channels (social media, events)
  • Photography – Experience with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
  • Web Experience
    • Experience in WordPress and Elementor desired.
  • Video Shooting – Basic skill with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
  • Video Editing – Basic skill in Premiere, Davinci Resolve, or Final Cut.

Education and/or Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or at least two or three years of professional experience in graphic design.

Spiritual Requirements
